George Vasey (B.1981, Newcastle Upon Tyne) has curated over 50 exhibitions since 2008 in public, academic and commercial contexts. He has previously worked as a curator at Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland and as a curatorial fellow at Newcastle University. In 2017 he co-curated the Turner Prize and is currently a curator at Wellcome Collection, London.

His writing has been published in Art Monthly, Art Review, Burlington Contemporary, Frieze and Mousse as well as numerous artist’s catalogues and books. He regularly teaches and has mentored artists, writers and curators for various organisations. In 2016-17 he was an advisor for Syllabus II, a collaboratively-produced alternative learning programme led by Wysing Arts Centre, Eastside Projects, New Contemporaries, S1 Artspace, Spike Island and Studio Voltaire.

He is a trustee at New Contemporaries, London, Artist Adviser for Jerwood Arts and on the executive committee for AICA UK (Association of International Art Critics).
